xCefiro 89 Posted August 12 (edited) the game for some reason broke after turning off the liveguard and the only response people get about this is that it is unrelated the first video is a few days before turning off the liveguard and see how I can play normally without fps/lag problems these videos are after turning off the liveguard and see how the fps are unstable without meaning I'm doing nothing and the fps drops by itself 2 windows but 1 disconnects without meaning 😄 I know many people having these problems even in this post, people also complained about unstable fps @Ivan Nebraska you say it has no relation but something affected having turned off the liveguard the only option is that everyone who has this problem, from one day to the next, the PC is bad and everyone has internet problems, different places but same problem 😀 It is also not certain that if the liveguard returns, the fps will fix themselves PS:I reinstalled the game again and it remained the same, I restored the PC from 0 thinking it was my problem and this problem remained the same :)) Edited August 12 by xCefiro

xCefiro 89 Posted August 13 (edited) leaving afk(8hs +-) for many hours and coming back and seeing 2 dead windows, it's not very fun 😄 playing with unstable FPS and disconnection problems is already exhausting and we do not get a response to these problems @BeL4eNaK @Ivan Nebraska @Drakonis Edited August 13 by xCefiro
noviceg 161 Posted August 14 (edited) Speaking of fps, in the past I was running an old LTSB build of windows10, that build was from 2016 and my game was running 32fps all the time without any tweaks, at some point I was forced to switch to the latest windows10 build and fps started to drop all the time, 28-32fps even in empty areas just like in the videos above. Same story with windows11 I guess the modern OS and some GPUs are not able to maintain stable 32fps in a 20 years old video game without few tweaks, go to Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D settings - Program settings, find in the list of programs Bless.exe or add it manually and change two settings, it should should fix fps drops. My theory is that when playing with Liveguard it makes GPU clocks to run a little bit higher for some players, that is the reason why they got stable 32fps with it and fps spikes without it. krabiz 183 Posted August 16 Same thing, used to run 32FPS stable with 20-60 characters on screen, now in viparena have drops to 26-27 with no action on screen. i9-14900K @Emp @BeL4eNaK
BeL4eNaK 7518 Posted August 16 Liveguard is now back online. You can update the client and turn it on in Launcher settings.
gohann 71 Posted August 16 Alright, it's about time we give this classic 2002 game a serious upgrade for 2024! I mean, come on — I can't even use shaders or enjoy 4K on this relic. Honestly, why not just code a whole new game? It can't be that hard, right? - @BeL4eNaK But for real, I don't get why everyone gets so worked up over lags and other issues—it's an ancient game, after all. Cut it some slack! We are currently working on a open source version of our game client - the priority for the new version will be optimization and fps. 1
qBaccaa 82 Posted August 16 I had the same issue before. Random fps drops from 32 to 25-27 even if nobody is around, I fixed the problem with software called "Process Lasso". After couple of tweaks game runs smoothly now, even better than before. Tested as well on "Ultra" graphics without any anti-lag patches and game could handle roughly around 2-3 party's without any fps drops. If you keep having this issue after turning on Live Guard, let me know I could create a topic on how to possibly fix this issue. Might not work for you, but it worked for me and fixed the problem with fps drops.
