How do i obtain better gear as a new player

Just been walking around the shops in a few areas can't seem to find some okay starter gear.. any suggestions ? or even how i go about starting out on here ?

I would recommend doing quests from the quest master - you will receive lots of Zen and lootboxes.

Do quests , there are plenty of people selling items +12-+13 for like 50-60kk each. Also you can hunt fortune pouches in map they drop jewel boxes. And mostly you can trade to anything if you got jewels ?

One of main sources of my starter gear was drops from silver/gold medals, hearts and firecrackers. Use them wisely. Also you can sell them in shop, to get some decent zen back. For example, if you find sacred star, you can get top tier +13 items (e.g. Iris, Great Dragon, Dark Soul items +13 non exe of course). +13 top tier weapon with good option and luck can be sold in in-game shop for 7kk easily.

Other suggestions mentioned ar crucial as well. Combining everything you will gear up pretty fast.
